Potential Side Effects
There are no known long-term side effects or dangers from LLLT therapy according to the FDA. The light emitted does not cause your skin to burn so there is no risk of pain. Standard precautions include averting your eyes from the laser’s red or infrared light and using safety goggles.
I agree to notify Dr. Lisa Grant or her staff if I have been diagnosed with any new or ongoing conditions. Celluma LLLT cannot be used if you have the following:
- Malignant tumors
- Epilepsy or history of seizures
- Receiving cortisone or other steroid injections in the area to be treated (effectiveness is decreased).
- Using photosensitive drugs/medications
- Pregnancy: While there is no evidence to suggest that LLLT during pregnancy is harmful, there is not enough research and evidence yet, so LLLT is not offered for pregnant patients.
- Over the breasts or stomach of a lactating person
I have read and agree to the terms and conditions stated above.
